Scope & technical review
Capacity, achievable tolerances, inspection equipment, quantity and lead time are confirmed against your drawing and the selected factory before quotation.
01Manufacturing Scope
Specification review
Manufacturing Scope
From a drawing-defined component to a repeat-order manufacturing route. The selected partner's capacity and each operation are confirmed in the quotation, not inferred from a process name.
| Requirement | Parts & Operations | What We Coordinate |
|---|---|---|
| Precision turned parts | Shafts, sleeves, bushings, threaded bodies, fittings and pins; fixed-headstock or Swiss-type turning, with live-tool features where suitable. | Material condition, workholding, functional fits and inspection route. |
| Milled components | Plates, brackets, housings, nests, locating blocks and workholding components. | Datum access, machining sequence, mating interfaces and dimensional acceptance. |
| Treated & finished parts | Surface treatment, heat treatment, deburring, polishing and grinding within an agreed supply scope. | Process sequence, final-size acceptance, treatment records and part protection. |
| Prototype to repeat order | Engineering samples, pilot lots and production orders assessed against drawing, quantity and partner availability. | Sample approval, revision control, reorder baseline and delivery documentation. |
02A Manufacturing Partner for Your Team
Key considerations
A Manufacturing Partner for Your Team
For Engineers
Discuss datums, fits, material condition and functional surfaces with a technical contact who carries those requirements into factory discussions.
For Procurement
Bring quotations, setup costs, quantities, samples, production timing and delivery documents into one coordinated process.
For Repeat Orders
Keep approved revisions, inspection expectations and change decisions connected from sample approval to subsequent orders.
03From Drawing to Delivery
Key considerations
From Drawing to Delivery
Drawing & Requirement Review
Align drawing revision, material, critical dimensions, quantities and intended use. Resolve supplier questions with your engineering team.
Manufacturing Plan & Quotation
Select a suitable partner and agree on process scope, price, sample plan, inspection records and delivery conditions.
Samples & Production
Coordinate sample approval, production updates and revision control. Changes are reviewed before production proceeds.
Inspection & Delivery
Collect agreed records, coordinate packaging and shipment, and follow open issues against the agreed acceptance criteria.
04Project Roles & Handover Records
Specification review
Project Roles & Handover Records
The quotation and contract identify the responsible parties and required records. Coordination does not replace your design approval or the selected factory's manufacturing and inspection responsibilities.
| Role | Responsibility | Approval & Agreed Records |
|---|---|---|
| Your Engineering & Procurement Team | Own the design requirements and intended use. Approve drawing revisions, substitutions, samples and any proposed concession before the affected work is released. | Released drawing and quantity, acceptance criteria, written sample or change approval, and any requirements for third-party or regulatory qualification. |
| ElixirFab | Coordinate factory assessment, technical clarification, quotation scope, progress and issue resolution. Track agreed decisions and collect partner records; we do not independently certify a part merely by coordinating the order. | Requirement and open-issue summary, agreed scope and schedule, revision and approval log, and a handover of the documents specified in the order. |
| Manufacturing & Inspection Partners | Confirm process feasibility and perform the agreed production and inspection. Report deviations rather than changing a material, feature or process requirement without approval. | First-article or outgoing results, material and treatment records, lot identification and nonconformance dispositions, where included in the confirmed scope. |
| Contracting & Shipping Parties | The project identifies the seller, invoicing party, exporter, importer and shipment arranger. ElixirFab's coordination role does not automatically make it each of those parties. | Agreed commercial and shipping terms, packaging and identification, packing list, invoice and any required import documents. Confirm warranty and acceptance conditions before ordering. |
